Downtown

Downtown Mt. Pleasant boasts nearly 100 businesses lining the historic streets, including specialty shops, art galleries, eclectic dining, lively bars and bistros and picturesque parks. Here you’ll find big city amenities with small town service and charm.

Located in the heart of the city, Downtown Mt. Pleasant is bordered by Michigan’s laziest stream, the Chippewa River. Two of the area’s most scenic parks, Island and Nelson Park, outskirt downtown offering a local trail system with a variety of natural trails and cycling paths.

In the spring, explore the beautiful city parks as spring blooms, shop for one-of-a-kind items at our unique boutiques or enjoy delectable dining at a local favorite.

In the summer, visit the Farmers’ Market on Thursdays and Saturdays, dance in the streets at the Max & Emily’s Summer Concert Series or enjoy the fresh summer air on a patio at one of our local favorites.

In the fall, ladies shop with friends at the annual Ladies Night Out in November and the year closes with the annual Christmas Celebration in December.

For every season, there’s a reason to be in Downtown Mt. Pleasant.
