Taught in a non-heated room and designed for beginners of all ages and students desiring a refresher on the basics, this series provides a broad overview of yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), basic yoga philosophy, and simple meditation practices. You’ll leave feeling confident and ready for more. And you'll have a bunch of new friends!

YOM kicks off the series by learning some important basic principles of alignment for yoga, how yoga classes are generally structured, a discussion of why your breath is so important to this practice, and how to begin to balance effort and relaxation. This class series offers time for questions, discussion, and laughter. Each session ends with guided or quiet relaxation.

No yoga experience needed. This class is taught sequentially to a core group of students, therefore it is not open to drop-ins.
