Growing up in the theatre, a good show is always my go-to when looking for a night out. Plus, you can never go wrong with a good meal! When I started looking, I found that the Mt. Pleasant area offers some unbelievable food and entertainment options. With a show in every season and a multitude of restaurants to try, the fun never has to end!

Read along to discover shows happening in the community paired with local eateries that relate to the show! These pairings bring the world to your fingertips, you just need to reach out and grab it.

 

Show – Movies by Moonlight: A Dog’s Purpose: Saturday,  August 3 at 8:30 p.m. at City Hall in Downtown Mt. Pleasant. Free admission   

Restaurant – Dog Central 

Have a night celebrating all kinds of dogs! Stop at Dog Central before the first Movies by Moonlight flick and grab one of it’s signature creations. Anything you can imagine, they put on a hot dog; even peanut butter! 

 

Show – Movies by Moonlight: First Man: Saturday, August 10 at 8:30 p.m. at City Hall in Downtown Mt. Pleasant. Free admission  

Restaurant – Summit Steakhouse

Houston won’t have a problem with this barbeque! Get in the Texas mood by grabbing some great barbeque before blasting off with Neil Armstrong at “First Man.”

Celebrate one of Tim Curry’s most iconic roles with a plate of your favorite curry dish at a local-favorite Chinese restaurant. After you’ve enjoyed one curry, head to the Broadway Theatre to enjoy another!

Meet Aaron Wittbrodt! I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant and loved it so much I decided to go to college here! I went to Central Michigan University to get my degree in Integrative Public Relations and Event Management. Theatre was a huge part of my life growing up and the arts play a big part in who I am.
