September 6 – Experience California Suite, a four-part comedy confection by the great comic playwright, Neil Simon, presented by University Theatre at Bush Theatre on CMU’s Campus; Second show September 8 at 2 p.m. Looking for a weekend getaway? September 7 – It’s all about the performing arts today in Mt. Pleasant! See Fox on the Fairway, presented by University Theatre, at Bush Theatre (tickets available through Ticket Central). For some adult fun, witness a devilish mix of burlesque, comedy and modern Vaudeville at Rubble’s Bar in Downtown Mt. Pleasant.

September 8 – It’s Superhero Sunday at The Jump Station! Suit up in your superhero outfits and help save the city from mischievous villains! Later, enjoy the final outdoor concert at Soaring Eagle Casino, featuring Florida Georgia Line with special guests Chris Lane and Canaan Smith.

September 9 – Get ready for an evening of music, painting and more at the NEW Island Park Arts Pavilion featuring a performance by Empty Canvas.

September 10 – Runners, joggers and walkers, this one’s for you! Enjoy a twilight run at the annual Rotary Run/Walk & Fun Run through Downtown Mt. Pleasant’s park system.

September 11 –  Check out Founders Film Series™ showing of Misery paired with a hand-picked Founders beer for only $2 at Celebration! Cinema Mt. Pleasant.

September 12 – Roz’s Diner welcomes back artist, Rebecca Hamilton, to share unique techniques and beautiful skills at GUEST ARTIST: Tea & Art; enjoy delicious treats and tea while creating.

September 13 – Light up the park at the Glow in the Park 5k in Mt. Pleasant. Before the event, check out Diggin’ for Glow Dough with My 104.3 at Island Park! Later, get ready for a Murder Mystery event at Soaring Eagle Casino and LIVE music at Rubble’s Bar.

September 14 – Hot rods? Check! Airplanes? Check! Food trucks, coffee and doughnuts? Check, check, check! Get ready for a fun day at Wings & Wheels hosted at the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Airport. It’s also Kid’s & Culture day at Ziibiwing Cultural Center, which is a free event full of learning, culture and fun! Later, cheer on the Chippewas as they take on Akron at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

September 15 – It’s a par-fect day for friendly competition! Grab some pals for disc golf at Deerfield Nature Park courses or CMU Campus Course.

September 17 – Experiment, explore and discover at the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum in a sensory-friendly environment at Sensory Night!

September 18 – Bring the kids to Art Reach of Mid Michigan for the monthly Mini Masters; a fun art class for kids ages 6 and up. For the adults, check out Founders Film Series™ showing of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure paired with a hand-picked Founders beer for only $2 at Celebration! Cinema Mt. Pleasant.

September 19 – Get into the fall spirit with a paint and pour session with Mama Bair Art at the Painted Turtle in Downtown Mt. Pleasant. 

September 20 – Come out to the Isabella County Fairgrounds to walk for a cause at the annual Into the Light Cancer Awareness Walk.

September 21 – Help raise money and awareness to fight HIV and AIDS at the 10th annual Central Michigan HIV/AIDS 5k Rainbow Walk/Run at Island Park. Looking for entertainment? October 3 – Performing arts, concerts, paint classes and more – it’s a busy Thursday in Isabella County! It is opening night of Miss Julie, a provocative and riveting tale of unexpected love, performed by University Theatre at Theatre-on-the-Side. Enjoy an evening of jazz music at the Faculty Jazz Ensemble at the Staples Family Concert Hall on CMU’s campus. October 4 – There are plenty of things to celebrate today! Celebrate Mt. Pleasant High School’s homecoming with the parade in Downtown Mt. Pleasant.
